IT’S BEEN A MIN… Work has been busy. I’d started to not have any time to do anything but work and recuperate from work and work again. What a cycle! I NEED something different to happen right about NOW.
So the past two months I finally started religiously using Mane N’ Tail on my hair (duhh where else?) and I must admit that my hair is looking a thickums. So I’m stocking up big time. It’s hard to find these types of products that are all the rave in places like U.K and U.S.A here in New Zealand, I was lucky enough to be browsing through the local wholesale shop in my area called ‘Why Knot’ and there it was, I just couldn’t believe it so i bought me 3 bottles of conditioner and 1 bottle of shampoo. I bought more conditioner than shampoo because I co-wash most of the time now, I shampoo my hair maybe 2 times a month and the rest is co-washing. My hair is really agreeing to Mane N’ Tail, i tell you that!
I relaxed my hair over a month ago and just last week I did my first retouch and I’m glad to say that I did not experience and dermacation line breakage. Yay! So now I’m thinking… What next? I want to prevent breakage by all means and maximise strength and moisture. For a few months now i’ve been hesitant on trying out Henna. Not for any particular reason, i’ve just been hesitant, full stop. I’ve had a change of heart after doing research and watching soo many YouTube videos, I’m doing it tomorrow!
So I hope some of you can join me as I take on this journey. I’m scared and I’ve never been one to open up and go into detail about my regimen or hair or whatever, i’m a quiet tard so this should be interesting. THIS IS NOT a hair guru type of thing NOR AM I TRYING to be one. I’m on my own journey to experiment what works for my hair to get it to that optimum healthy lustrous damn-she-got-healthy-hair stage. For ME :)
i’ll also be trying a product I saw at ‘Why-Knot’ too. The name of the product is called “Black Orchid”, there are not many reviews on this product on the internet at the moment but my research shows that it is for african textured hair and it seems o contain all the Good-for-your-hair ingredients so we’ll see how it goes alongside the Henna and Mane N’ Tail.
Will update you soon on how the henna process goes!

February 2012 whilst I was studying to become a flight attendant our tutor walks in the classroom, devides us into groups and hands us $20 a group. ” Design a flight attendant uniform in your groups and I will meet you back at 3pm” . Obviously I was super duper excited as I had indeed designed flight attendants uniforms back in my textiles days and I happened to have my design book with me which had all that i needed. [coincidence or not, we had this competition in our pockets!]
so we went off running through the streets like the ANTM girls do when Tyras makes them go through unfamiliar streets looking for model bookins etc etc… we did that. Went to the thrift shop, got us some bits and bops and VOILA…. this was the product…
Amour Airlines was born
Apart from that it was a great way to just lighten up and have fun with all the great friends in the class.
It’s about that time again . #yum #mathlimbi #grubtime #grub #zimbabwe #food (Taken with Instagram)
My baby always makes sure that I eat and enjoy all the traditional foods from our countries. Being the daughter of a Zimbabwean and a Zambian I totally fit in well with my boo’s eating habits and he totally loves it I must admit. If we could we would have traditional food everyday; two peas in a pod… Anyways he brings these to my place once in a while and we cook ourselves a feast fit for a king and queen.
I hadn’t had these since I was about 9 years old so 11 years later he suprised me with these babys and cooked them for me… I knew that they tasted good but I was scared to put them in my mouth. I still am scared to put the fat looking ones in my mouth to this day, I just put them aside. I do love mathlimbi !
